20 Unique Scavenger hunts designed to match the Festival & Event season! Super fun for kids to come back again and again and test their skills!Treat the kids to the Village Scavenger hunt. Just pick up your clue list daily at Activity Central, located in the Clock Tower building at the base of Blue Mountain, and on weekends you can also pick up your Scavenger Hunt at the Visitor Information Centre, located at the entrance to the Village across from Beavertails.
Apple Pie Trail, year round, self-guided culinary trail
If you are looking for a day trip to explore the area, pick up an Apple Pie Trail brochure and tour Ontario’s largest apple-growing region.  The year long Trail features over 30 stops highlighting local apple history, art, wine, ciders, apple infused food specialities teamed with adventure packages for every season.  Winner of the 2011-12 Ontario Culinary Adventure Award! www.applepietrail.ca
M.J. Byrne’s Horse & Wagon Rides
Treat the kids to a Village tour on our Horse & Wagon rides. Running every weekend all winter long meet outside M.J. Byrne’s Irish Pub in the centre of the Village. Be sure to bundle up, grab a hot drink and enjoy the sights and sounds of winter in the Village!
skating Skating on the Mill Pond - Closed for the Season as of Feb 15, 2017
At the steps to The Westin Trillium House and in the heart of the Village you’ll find five acres of outdoor skating on the Mill Pond at the base of Blue Mountain. Open daily from 10am to 10pm*, a skate hut and skate rentals is on site with helmets, skates and scooters, also available at Activity Central located in the Clock Tower building at the base of Blue Mountain.
winter_snowshoe Columbia Guided Snowshoeing
Join in Canada’s fastest growing sport and try snowshoeing with a Guide.  Available every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am at the main Columbia store in the Village Plaza (adult store not the kids store). Please arrive at approximately 10:15am to register inside the Columbia Store.  (Water bottle and layered clothing suggested). Rentals are available at Activity Central Rental Desk located in the Clock Tower building at the base of Blue Mountain.  Should snowshoe rentals be required it is recommended you allow 1/2 hour prior to start time for these arrangements.

DUSK, MON & THURS: Movies Under the Stars, July & August at Dusk

Monday and Thursday evenings at dusk.  Arrive early to explore the Village.  Then pull up a Muskoka chair, sit back and enjoy the Box Office Hits.   To see the complete movie line up, click HERE.

  SUN THROUGH THURS, Live Music, July & August, 6pm-8pm 

Get a taste of Ontario’s finest musicians performing live on the Coca-Cola Village Stage all summer long!  Muskoka chairs available or enjoy one of the many Village patios close by.

  FRI: Friday Night Indie Series, July & August, 7pm

This summer celebrate many of Canada’s finest touring artists, free on the Coca-Cola Village Stage Friday evenings!  Muskoka chairs available or enjoy one of the many Village patios close by.

  WED & FRI: Iwa Spa First Tracks Yoga: Hike, Yoga & Gondola Ride, July & August, 8:30am

Guests can enjoy a 40 minute guided hike up Blue Mountain followed by a yoga class overlooking the vistas of Georgian Bay.  Descend back down on Ontario’s only open-air gondola. Closed toed shoes, water bottles, yoga mat and/or towel recommended.  Meet at Iwa Spa prior to 8:30am.

Looking to relax while the kids play?  Come sit around the Village’s brand new playground located on the Mill Pond by Plunge! Aquatic Centre.

A favourite Village pastime for the younger crowd is the fountain located in the centre of the Village next to the Village Stage. Kids young and old can splish-splash to the beat of the Village. Muskoka chairs surrounding for parents to rest while the little ones play!

Families love playing board games in the great outdoors. The Village has two sets of games, chess in the main Village Plaza and checkers in the Bandstand location. No reservations just show up and test your luck at who can beat Mom & Dad.

DAILY JUNE-AUGUST: Blue Mountain Beach

Homeowners and resort guests can enjoy a day at the Beach while staying at the Mountain! Just 8km away take the free Village Shuttle and see what the fuss over crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay is all about.  A perfect spot for young children with a sandy beach and long walk out to deeper water. Boat rentals, stand up paddle boards, umbrellas. beach toys and refreshments are available – please bring towels and life jackets if needed. Free of charge for resort guests and Homeowners or $16 per carload* for day visitors (*max. 8 people per car)

FALL

10:30AM Saturday, Sunday & Monday of the Thanksgiving weekend. Columbia Guided Family Hikes.

A favourite spot to unwind away from all the action in the Village plaza. Parents will find Muskoka chairs surrounding. Located next to the Plunge! Aquatic Centre behind Firehall Pizza.
