    We do this by maintaining all common areas and facilities in the Blue Mountain Village, hosting award-winning festivals and events, marketing locally & internationally, decorating for each season, providing security, beautifying through landscaping, snow & garbage removal, offering shuttle service for members and guests, operating the Plunge Aquatic Centre, and maintaining key Village infrastructure.   BMVA also liaises with all levels of government on behalf of its members to ensure that the Village and the region experience positive economic growth.   

    The Village experience comprises outdoor adventures and activities, hotels & lodging, restaurants, retail stores, unique services, festivals, nature experiences, a public streetscape and more – open 365 days a year.    

    The Facilities Technician works closely with our Facilities Coordinator, Festivals and Events, Marketing and Membership Teams to ensure that work done supports overall operations and that village maintenance and safety standards are met.  This is achieved through the successful execution of general on site repair and maintenance work as well as the provision of excellent customer service. Candidates must have experience in building and outdoor facilities general maintenance.
    The position will be a 7 month contract from April 10th, 2017 until November 10th, 2017, with the possibility of extension. Schedule for this role will vary depending on season and business needs and will include weekday, evening, and weekend shifts; 40 hours a week. Candidates must be able to work the entire 7 month contract.
    Pay Range $15.00 – $19.00 depending on experience.

    Ideal candidates will have passion for tourism & Blue Mountain Village, have experience maintaining facilities such as shopping centers, recreational facilities or outdoor Villages, are strong team players, enjoy variety in their work, are diplomatic and service-oriented, have a strong attention to detail and can perform general site/facility repairs.
