Designed after the popular cycling adventures in Europe, the Pedal & Paddle Adventure is an Ontario Signature Experience!

This self guided, 40 km ride combines the ease of loading your bike on the Blue Mountain gondola with the beauty of rolling hills surrounded by acres and acres of apple trees. The 1-hour paddle is the perfect rest for your legs as you driftdown the Beaver River in your choice of Stand Up Paddle Board, Kayak, or Canoe. Don't miss out on what might just be your favourite adventure in Ontario this season!
First, head to the top of Blue Mountain on the Open-Air Gondola. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Niagara Escarpment, Georgian Bay, and the surrounding area.
From the top of the Escarpment, begin your scenic 40 km ride through apple country on quiet country roads. Cycle along the top of the Niagara Escarpment, down past rolling hills, open fields, apple orchards and Georgian Hills Vineyard.
Once you've worked up an appetite, stop for a delicious picnic lunch at Blackbird Pie Company in the hamlet of Heathcote. Your toughest decision of the day will be which of their famous butter tarts to include with your lunch!
After lunch, venture across the street to Free Spirit Tours where you’ll trade your bike for a kayak, canoe, or stand up paddleboard. You’ll be driven upstream with all the gear and enjoy a 1-hour gentle paddle down the Beaver River where you’re sure to spot a variety of birds and farm animals along the way.
Hop back on your bike and continue your ride past Farmer’s Pantry to The Georgian Trail (rail trail) following the shores of Georgian Bay and back to up to the Blue Mountain Village. Finish the day by relaxing on one of the 15 patios!

Plan 4 to 7 hours depending on personal ability and stops along the way. The first 3 kilometers is on an incline followed by gently rolling hills recommended for energetic riders 12 yrs and older.

$60.00 per person + tax (includes a map of the route, gondola tickets, lunch at Blackbird Pie Company, and the 1-hour paddling experience)

Hybrid or cross-country bikes are recommended. The gondola is not equipped to carry road bikes.
