    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation.

    Duties

    • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
    • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and marinating.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety guidelines.
    • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
    • Monitor food inventory levels.
    • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
    • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.

    Experience

    • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is required.
    • Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
    • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the food industry.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $17.20-$22.29 per hour

    Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week

    Flexible language requirement:

    • French not required

    Schedule:

    • Evening shift
    • Holidays
    • Morning shift
    • Weekends as needed

    Education:

    • Secondary School (preferred)

    Experience:

    • Cooking: 2 years (required)

    Language:

    • English (preferred)

    Licence/Certification:

    • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
    • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
