OUTDOOR EVENTURE THIS FALL

Guitar and singersLet’s start with Canada’s Only Guitar Trail, a hiking adventure with a musical twist and a little known gem on the festival circuit. Imagine a 6 kilometer trail through the Village, up the mountain through forests and across bridges and creeks where you’ll discover dozens of musicians tucked into nature performing with the backdrop of spectacular views of Georgian Bay and the mountain.  Give yourself a couple of hours to enjoy the music on the Trail before returning to Village via the Open-Air Gondola or down another trail. You’ll be rewarded with an outdoor concert with THE TREWS!

It all happens Saturday, September 10th

TIP:Book your accommodation early, purchase a Hiking Pass or Explore Pass (includes hiking trails and Gondola) and plan some time on one of dozens of patios to celebrate and compare notes with your friends of your favourite performers.

AGORA: Path of Light is an unusual and magical space inspired by storytellers and cycles of life in nature. The adventure begins with a rare moonlit gondola ride up the mountain, watching the lights of Collingwood reflect off the Bay. From there you’ll begin the 3 kilometre walk across the escarpment and through the spectacular and interactive light installations of Agora. These installations, along with the voice of the forest, begin a conversation between you and Nature to help tell the story of the land, in the language of light. It’s an introspective journey where you might just find the story being told is your own.

Open every night until October 31st

TIP: book tickets online to secure your ideal departure time and make a reservation for dinner in the Village before or after your experience.

When October arrives expect the mountain to be splashed with every shade of orange, yellow and red as the nights become cooler and the trees become the main attraction. Every Thanksgiving weekend we celebrate the rich agriculture in Ontario’s largest apple growing region with the annual Apple Harvest Festival. It’s a family affair with a blend of hiking and attractions on the mountain and entertainment, shopping, pottery making, axe throwing, spa and yoga and festive food of all kinds in the Village. Live music, stiltwalkers, interactive entertainment, apple education and fireworks over the Mill Pond are always highlights of the weekend.
